Altitude in 3D

The enhanced 3D view lifts the path for visibility; altitude readouts retain the reported values. Turn it off in Flight display for true scale. The aircraft symbol remains enlarged so you can find it. Reported altitude is approximate and is not height above the local terrain.

Zoom in to see the climb and descent profile. Wide views use the surface trace. The progress line in the flight summary follows timing, not distance flown.

The pulse means a position was received within the last three minutes. A quiet marker remains visible when reports are older.

Nothing has been overwritten. Merge adds the journeys from this device to the cloud copy and keeps the cloud display settings. Export a backup first if you want both versions.

Natural and 3D globe use real elevation. Zoom into a mountain range and tilt to see ridges and valleys. At world scale, terrain height is subtle. Imagery is a photographic mosaic, not a live view.
